JAKARTA - PT. Pertamina EP Field Rantau, a Production Sharing Contractor of BPMIGAS in northern Sumatra, on June 15, 2008 succeeded in producing oil from P.395 well with a normal output rate of 364 BOPD. The well is located in Kebun Rantau village, Rantau district, Aceh Tamiang regency in Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam province.
The P. 395 well is drilled with Cardwell KT-210 B No.2A rig, owned by Pertamina Drilling Service (PDSI), which has a capacity of 400 HP with a depth target of 899 mMD (meter Measurement Deep)/851 mTVD (meter True Vertical Deep) from the surface.
Oil from the well will be transported to a local gatherer station and transfered to a center in Riau and later to Pangkalansusu for shipment.
The well was inaugurated on May 26, 2008, attended by Assistant II for Aceh Tamian Regency, local leaders and communities and the management of Pertamina EP Field Rantau. The company handed over presents to orphans and the poor who live around the well at the event. ***
